Mary Spada serves as Director of University Life Technology Services. She is responsible for the strategic and planning efforts in which technology advances the imperatives of the division and the University via the direction of strategic planning for information systems activities, systems analysis, systems development and integration, programming, and technology operations. She oversees an 11-person team of technical professionals dedicated to student and administration information systems, end-user-support, infrastructure services, application/web development and operations, risk assessment and mitigation, disaster recovery and business continuity. She joined Penn in 1984 and has worked in IT in positions of increasing responsibility since 1987. She earned a bachelor’s degree of Business Administration from the Wharton School, a master’s of Organizational Dynamics, also from Penn, and is a PMI-certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
